- Siege of Bexar (12 October - 11 December) Texans successfully besiege and defeat Mexicans.
- Dade Battle 23 December 108 American troops were ambushed by about 180 Seminole Indians. Colonel Dade, who was on horseback, was the first to be killed. Only three American purportedly survived the attack. Two of these survivors died shortly after.
